// monsa vs tradingview
TradingView is the best place to look at a chart. Monsa never draws one.
Charting, indicators, drawing tools, alerts, a scripting language and a large community publishing ideas. It is where a decision gets looked at.
Monsa holds the rules you wrote down and checks your holdings against them every night.
They answer different questions and neither replaces the other. TradingView is about price action - what a stock is doing. Monsa is about the written reason you bought it, and whether the company still satisfies it. You can hold something whose chart looks excellent and whose fundamentals stopped matching your rules a year ago; that is exactly the case Monsa exists to catch.
Côte à côte
| Ce que vous voulez faire | TradingView | Monsa |
|---|---|---|
| Look at price action | Best in class, and free to start. | Does not chart at all. It reads the closing price and nothing else about the chart. |
| Alert on a price level | Intraday, real time, with conditions. | End-of-day only. A close past your number, once a night, by e-mail. |
| Score a company against written fundamental rules | Screeners exist; a rule-set attached to a portfolio does not. | The whole product. |
| See whether a holding drifted from your strategy | Not what it is for. | The nightly answer. |
If your process is technical and your reasons for holding are about price rather than about the business, TradingView is the tool and Monsa is not.
